Some time ago I did a small workshop for some school girls. The aim was for them to have fun while making a quirky cat and at the same time learn to use their own sewing machines. It was a set task and all the materials I had prepared beforehand. It was an excellent day.
What amazed me the most was that they were so set on the task and totally concentrated for the full time it took to accomplish it, which was about 5 hours! And once they were done - they immediately bonded with and loved their little soft toy!
So good to see their effort and how proud they and their mum's were of the result! And I was too...
